The Villa Terrace Milwaukee Wedding | Danielle and Gavin

September 8, 2022

I’m Liz
As a former ICU nurse, I know what it’s like to be in high-stress situations. In fact, it’s where I thrive. I would love to bring my calm to the natural chaos that comes with planning your wedding.
About Me

Danielle and Gavin wanted to get married by the lake. Their original plan was to get married on the beach in Florida but decided to tie the knot in Milwaukee. They wanted their guests to experience the city they call home. While talking during our consultation call I knew right away The Villa Terrace would be the perfect venue for their intimate lakeside vows!

Unfortunately the week of their wedding the forecast called for an 80% chance of rain. Which would have put a damper on their vision of an outdoor ceremony over looking Lake Michigan. All things considered, we planned for A, B and C but on the day, the rain held off.

As the quartet played All of Me by John Legend Danielle walked down the aisle. Gavin smiled as his bride walked toward him. Once they made eye contact they both instantly looked at ease. They exchanged their personal vows encompassed by a breathtaking floral arrangement designed by Remington’s Floral. You could feel the excitement when the officiant announced Mr. and Mrs. North for the first time.

The reception table was just big enough to fit all their guests at one table. The table was nestled inside the Great Hall at the Villa Terrace. Creating an intimate dinner experience, where friends became family over dinner. The table adorned with blush colored taper candles and votives, partnered with florals created a timeless tablescape.

A Timeless Wedding Reception

Danielle and Gavin shared a first dance on the patio surrounded by the people that mattered most. It was a magical moment as Danielle and Gavin slowly swayed to the music and the strings played A Thousand Years. For dessert they had Kopps custard, a favorite of theirs (and mine, honestly) paired with cream puffs. They shared a first bite of custard as a married couple as the day came to a close.

Although they didn’t get married on a beach in Florida, Danielle and Gavin’s intimate wedding day was full of small details that arguably made it even more THEM! If you want to to break the rules and plan your wedding, YOUR way, let’s chat!
