Thinking of having a winter wedding? Winter weddings come with some great benefits. Here are a few!
One of the biggest benefits is having more vendor availability. Many wedding vendor’s calendars book up quickly for the busy season (late spring to early fall), leaving many options open for your event. Booking a wedding vendor off-season may even come with a large discount. Saving you money!
Having a winter wedding will also allow your wedding vendors to focus on you. During the busy season, many vendors are juggling three or more weddings a month. An off-season wedding allows more time and flexibility to focus on your wedding. You may even be able to come set up early or takedown late if your venue isn’t scheduled for another event right after yours. This perk allows you and your loved ones to focus on your special day. During other seasons there may be a wedding before or after yours which would inhibit this luxury.
No Wedding Fatigue
Another positive is skipping that dreaded wedding fatigue. Spring and summer can be jam-packed with back to back weddings for you to attend. Scheduling your wedding off-season will allow you to focus on your wedding. Your special day might even be the only wedding your guests are attending that season and it will give them something to look forward to!
You won’t have to worry about rain or heat! Summer weddings can be hot and humid, which can make your perfect wedding curls frizzy or your makeup run. You can always put layers on to stay warm but you can’t take them off in the summer. Plus, if you’re lucky, you will have the opportunity to take pictures during a snowfall. It will create a unique backdrop for your wedding photos. You could even have a snowball fight with your bridal party!
Winter weddings can be just as amazing as any other season. If you’re on the fence about having an off-season wedding I say go for it!
